With a firm understanding of historic design, Laura has studied historic styles and preservation in depth through formal education, applied historic projects and as an interior design instructor.
She believes historic or period styled homes and buildings ought to maintain the integrity of the design period from which it was designed. From full resoration to only a few elements to express the story of a bulding's history. Enhancing interior architectural features through color and pattern, furnishings and decoration and even with the contrast of styles. Keeping elements of the historic fabric - its integrity - offers harmony and visual flow from the exterior to the interior.
